Thank you for this acknowledgement of our mothers and the gift and security they provided.

My mother had the courage to support her two sons ( me one of them) to expand our horizons and life possibilities by getting us to USA. Your evolutionary and psychological perspective is very useful.

Thanks for making this real for me, the essence of formation and relation, protection and attunement. I was talking with someone we both know in Austin, about why people behave the way they do in certain situations. The insight you provide in your article also flooded into my awareness -- the desire to return to the womb* where all our needs were met and it was safe. I remember we were talking about how people often want a "cocoon" experience to avoid emotionally threatening and uncomfortable situations. I think cocoon and womb must be related. Both provide protection for organisms that are forming. I love the idea that this returning is a return to something greater than ourselves. I think that's amazing insight for contemplation.
